We had our first 4th of July in Ohio. We knew I was going in on Monday to have the baby, so we decided to do everything we could with the boys. We took the boys to the local parade here, and at the beginning people started throwing candy to them, they were shocked, FREE candy! After the first few people they stood up, waved their little flags and would say "Right Here Please!!", Everyone thought they were cute so they got all sorts of treats, footballs, beach balls, ect.. Tyler was cute, everytime they threw candy he would take a piece and put it in his bag, and put one in Conner's bag. (later when we got home he made a pile of his candy for Stew and I) After the parade we walked around the local churches for their fun activities, car shows, food, ect.. We then went to the store, rode bikes, and then they crashed and took a nap. When they woke up we had dinner, let them do a few fireworks. (sparklers, flowers, black cats, and a couple fountains!) Since they were now wide awake we went to check out the local fireworks show. They loved it, Tyler started to fall asleep and Conner wanted his ears covered, but it was a fun experience. We hope the rest of you all had a wonderful 4th of July.
